Selena Gomez understands that everyone has a bad hair day–every now and then. She dished recently about how her bad hair day didn’t just turn into bad hair days–but actually lasted throughout her entire sixth grade year.

It was during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that the singer and actress explained.

“My biggest hair mistake is when I was younger and I was figuring out how to use a flat-iron,” Selena Gomez admitted. “I used to think that just because visually I could see that this hair was straight that the back didn’t necessarily have to be straight, so for the entire 6th grade I only straightened the front of my hair. That wasn’t really my proudest moment.”

Now serving as the new face of Pantene, Selena Gomez is experiencing more good hair days than bad. She talked about her favorite hair accessory, and it’s not Pantene shampoo.

“My favorite hair accessory is a scrunchie,” Gomez admitted. “I know it’s kind of old school but it’s really cute when you put your hair up and you let a few pieces come down. It’s nice.”

She does have a favorite hair product, however.

“Dry shampoo,” Selena Gomez said. “I think it’s awesome.”

Selena has some recent big news regarding her music career that’s pretty awesome, too. On the heels of her new single, “Good For You” she has announced the name of yet another single that will soon be released from her upcoming album Revival. The new song is titled “Same Old Love,” which leads some to wonder if it’s about Justin Bieber.

“Good for You” is still doing very well on the Hot 100 chart. Hopefully for Selena Gomez, “Same Old Love” will follow suit.

Speaking of Justin Bieber–what’s with those two? Are they on-again, off-again, or completely finished?

Diehard fans of both still hold out hope of a Jelena reunion.

It looks like for now, anyway, that fans will have to wait and see what is publicized when “Same Old Love” hits the airwaves. Maybe Selena Gomez will divulge the song’s true meaning.
