  • Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been an on-again–off-again item for years, with some fans still longing to see a Jelena reunion. Some wonder, now that Justin Bieber has cleaned up his act and once again become serious about his music, if a reconciliation is in the cards for him and Selena Gomez.

Selena was asked that very question in a recent interview with Elle magazine. Might Jelena fans see their wish come true?

“I’ll forever support him and love him,” Selena Gomez said of Justin Bieber. “We grew up together. I think people want it to be different…[but] I respect him. And I think he respects me, in a healthy manner.”

When asked if she thought she and Justin might one day get back together, she didn’t say no.

“I don’t know!” she said instead.

Selena Gomez does want to move on from being associated simply as Justin Bieber’s former other half. She has a very successful music career, with her single “Good For You” climbing to the top of the music charts in recent weeks.

Selena also doesn’t want fans thinking that every love song or breakup song she writes and performs is necessarily about Justin Bieber either.

“[It’s] not necessarily about a specific relationship,” Selena Gomez says of her new track “Same Old Love.” “Sometimes you’re stuck in the same cycle. This is kind of my ‘forget it’ song. I’m sick of all of it.”

What’s your take on the fact that Selena Gomez didn’t deny the possibility of one day getting back together with Justin Bieber?

Do you see a possible future for her and the “What Do You Mean?” singer?
