You probably know the age old story by now. Boy pop star meets girl pop star. Boy pop star loses girl pop star, and then eventually gets her back, which seems to be the case with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez–as the two were recently seen taking a romantic photo together.

It was 2010 when the superstar couple started dating, and two years later in November of 2012, word got out that they were calling it quits. But once again rumors started swirling in January 2013 about a possible reconciliation, and after that, things went quiet seemingly once and for all.

But as many of us have experienced, once and for all doesn’t really mean anything when it comes to young love, so four days ago Biebs posted an image of himself being embraced by Gomez, which of course started rumors about the couple reuniting.

“Love the way you look at me,” wrote Bieber when posting the pic, which received a ridiculous number of 1.55 million likes in just four days.

Since the couple recently broke apart, it seems that Bieber has been in rebellious mode, which is pretty typical for a young man trying to distance himself from his younger and more clean cut image. Whether the cameras are catching Bieber fighting with the paparazzi or catching him in a foreign country with a new mystery girl, many of Gomez’s fans would rather see her stay away from the 19-year old, because although he’s doing the whole bad-boy thing at the moment, Gomez has still maintained somewhat of a wholesome image.

However, there are a good number of people who are happy about the couple possibly reuniting. “You are happy together. I’m rooting for you,” one fan writes. “I love Jelena,” another wrote, calling the two by their official couple name. It’s safe to assume that many eyes will be on Bieber and Selena in the coming weeks to see if the romantic image simply captured a fleeting moment or if it symbolized something greater.
