Recently single Sean Penn was spotted at a fancy restaurant with Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly and three other friends on Tuesday.
Kelly was celebrating her 35th birthday and other guests at the restaurant said they saw Penn take care of the pricey tab. This may have been Penn’s birthday gift to Kelly.
According to reports, Minka first met Penn at a Haiti relief event. The two share a common interest in humanitarian activities.
At dinner, they reportedly had a delicious meal comprising of chicken, truffles, mac and cheese and a birthday cake. The people at their table along with others in the restaurant sang Kelly a “Happy Birthday”.

Kelly, however, did not mentioned Penn on her recent Instagram post which read “Birthday festivities off to a pretty magical start.”
This doesn’t mean the two are being hush hush about their relationship.
Penn is said to be the reason for Kelly’s coy smile last Friday when she was spotted after finishing her workout.
Kelly used to date New York Yankees player Derek Jeter and was last linked to Avengers star Chris Evans, her on-again-off-again boyfriend since 2007.
Kelly also wrote on her Instagram: “Definitely a night to remember, and perhaps repeat annually! We danced all night, we were dripping in sweat, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I’m a very lucky girl.”
Is she suggesting that Penn is going to put an end to her 8-year relationship with hunk Chris Evans?
While it might seem so, Kelly added to her post: “Nurture your friendships. We’re nothing without them. Thank you for the happiest birthday!! #ohwhatanight”.
So what’s the real deal? Are they just friends? Or are they off to magical start?
Minka Kelly and Sean Penn’s representative were contacted about the status of their relationship but have yet to respond.
