Sean Penn and Charlize Theron have been the subject of a whole lot of speculation after they were seen vacationing in Hawaii together over the holidays, and on Saturday night they all but confirmed their relationship status when they attended Penn’s charity event together.
“They looked like two teenagers in love,” a source told the New York Daily News. “They were hugging each other the entire evening. When a film about Haiti was played, Sean was resting his head on Charlize’s shoulder and was holding her hand and kissing it. It was all very cute.”
The fundraiser for Help Haiti Home was hosted by Anderson Cooper and reportedly raised over $6 million. The highlight of the night was a performance by U2, the first for all four members in several years.
The couple were spotted together in Oahu–where Penn has a home–over the holidays, then were seen exiting the same plane together when they returned home.
“Charlize and Sean have been friends for years,” a source told People Magazine. “They have been spotted out together several times in the past few years. Even when Charlize was dating Stuart [Townsend]. They both had dinner with Sean several times.”
