Scott Disick is trying to make better decisions for the sake of his family.

His life changes follow his recent health scare which resulted in alcohol poisoning, which resulted in hospitalization.

Several media outlets have also reported his binge drinking and excessive partying has put a strain on his relationship with Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian.

Since Scott and the 35-year-old reality TV starlet are expecting their third child, she definitely doesn’t need the stress. So, he’s making strides to be a better man.

According to US Weekly, Scott has opted to give up alcohol until Kourtney gives birth to their third child in December. An inside source shared details about his decision with the publication.

“He stopped drinking cold turkey—and promised he won’t drink again until after Kourtney gives birth,” the source revealed. “Scott knew he had hit rock bottom.” Scott reportedly sees his recent bout with alcoholism as a “wake up call,” but as far as Kourtney is concerned, he’d better make it count.

“[Kourtney] told him that was the last straw,” the source explained. Scott has definitely had his fair share of trying times over the past year. The 31-year-old reality star lost both of his parents in less than three months.

Scott reportedly used alcohol and excessive partying as a form of self-medication to escape the troubles of his life. However, another insider revealed he’s doing much better now.  “[He] went through a dark place,” a source told the publication, but “is doing great now.”

A couple weeks ago, another source close to Scott also shared a few details about his current state of mind. He’s reportedly sought the help of Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. for spiritual guidance. Now, he’s moving forward.

“Scott has known that he needed help for a while, but he just wasn’t ready to take that leap,” a close source said. “He finally had to humble himself and say, ‘Hey, I need help.’ It was a big step for him, and it took a lot of faith on his part.”
