  • Sarah Silverman is among a group of celebrities who have taken to social media this weekend to share their get well wishes with Joan Rivers. The 81-year-old Fashion Police host remains hospitalized in New York in what is reported as very serious condition. She is said to be on life support following a medical emergency she suffered while undergoing an endoscopy at another medical facility.

On Friday, Melissa Rivers spoke to E! News about her mother’s condition, saying, “My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world. Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery.”

Sarah Silverman is scheduled to appear with Joan Rivers in a couple of weeks. Her tweet indicates she has no plans of going on alone. She shared the following via Twitter on Sunday.

Sarah Silverman shocked a few people at the Emmy Awards last week when she whipped out her liquid pot vapor pen while walking the red carpet. Rumors went wild saying she was stoned at the Emmys, too. She won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for We Are Miracles, and had the following to say while accepting the award.

“And we’re just all made of molecules and we’re hurtling through space right now.”

She is likely hoping that all of Joan Rivers’ molecules come together for the best during this very trying time. In addition to Sarah Silverman, many additional celebrities have sent their get well wishes to Joan, too, including Lisa Vanderpump, Cat Cora, George Lopez, and Giuliana Rancic.

While telling jokes on stage in two weeks might be a bit unlikely for Joan Rivers, it’s likely that Sarah Silverman would jump for joy–as would many others–simply to see Joan up and about and feeling a whole lot better.
