  • Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, Transformers star, and now, budding fashion designer, launched her latest line for Marks and Spencer on Wednesday in London. Rosie for Autograph, the brand behind Huntington-Whiteley’s designs, first appeared with a line of lingerie from the gorgeous Brit in August of 2012. The immense success of that first collection inspired Marks and Spencer to plan for another group of designs to be released by Rosie.

Now, that next line of intimate apparel is available; Huntington-Whiteley unveiled her latest undertaking, a sleepwear line, at Marble Arch on Wednesday in London. That evening, the model-turned-designer was honored with a dinner at the Dover Street Arts Club. The next morning, the model appeared on the hit UK radio show, the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with DJ Nick Grimshaw, to promote her sleepwear.

Huntington-Whiteley told Elle-UK why she decided to go into designing, saying, “I couldn’t find affordable, luxurious sleepwear and casual wear for wearing at home and wearing whilst traveling anywhere.” She then added, “It also felt like the next step from lingerie was to have pieces that you could relax in at home and still feel feminine and luxurious.”

Clad in a sheer black blouse with her self-designed lingerie showing underneath, Rosie also said, “Moving into sleepwear felt like a natural progression for my lingerie range for M & S. I’m so pleased with the collection and I think it really epitomizes the cool, relaxed way of dressing we wanted to create, whilst still keeping the luxurious and feminine feel the Rosie for Autograph brand has become known for.”
