Roku has released a new Android app. It’s free, and it runs on all Android devices version 2.1 and up.
The app can be used to explore and rate channels. It also includes features for replaying parts of movies, adding/removing channels, and controlling and switching between multiple Roku players. It also includes a keyboard feature, so you can enter text.
An iOS version was launched in December.
Roku’s set top boxes have become pretty popular. The company is even out of stock on its most inexpensive model, the Roku LT. The company does indicate that it expects to be replenished on March 9th.
Roku also announced a new Refer-a-Friend program this week, where users can get discounts for their friends.
