Rick Harrison, co-owner of the pawn shop upon which the History Channel show Pawn Stars is based, has weighed in on the arrest of Austin “Chumlee” Russell. Chumlee was arrested Wednesday on 19 drug and gun charges. His bail was set at $62,000.

“We don’t have details yet but are here to help Chumlee however we can,” Rick Harrison said in an interview with People magazine.

Officers arrived at Chumlee’s home to serve him with a search warrant regarding a sexual assault investigation. Although he was never charged in the sexual assault case, officers found firearms, meth, and marijuana in his home.

Rick Harrison first hired Chumlee when he was 21, but has known him since he was a child. He serves as a father figure to the 33-year-old.

Hopefully Chumlee realizes how fortunate he is to have someone like Rick Harrison in his life, as he is about to face some exceedingly serious charges when this goes to court.

It’s possible that not even Rick Harrison can get him out of this one.
