Reese Witherspoon welcomed her third child today, a boy named Tennessee James. The actress said she wanted to pay homage to the state she lived in as a child and still loves.

This is the actress’s first child with husband Jim Toth; she has a daughter, Ava, and a son, Deacon, with actor Ryan Phillippe. Witherspoon has been spotted out and about quite a bit during her pregnancy, but spoke very little about it, preferring to keep some privacy. She did, however, work on a film in the agonizingly hot summer months in Georgia, shooting “Devil’s Knot”. The film also stars Colin Firth and “True Blood” actor (and new father to twins) Stephen Moyer.

Of course, most people just care about the name she chose, as is evidenced on Twitter today.
