Kim Kardashian’s nude photo spread for Paper magazine has made Ray J a rich man. The nude photos of Kardashian have caused the sales of Kim and Ray J’s sex tape, Kim K Superstar, to skyrocket. The tape was filmed in 2003 and was released back in 2007. According to TMZ, Ray J will earn $50,000 just from the past week when the photo spread was released. Ray J reportedly earns $90,000 every three months from sales of the sex tape.

Steve Hirsch, president of Vivid Entertainment, revealed that Kim K Superstar is now the biggest-selling celebrity sex tape of all time. Until last week, the Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex tape held the title. When Ray J and Kim’s sex tape was released in 2007, Kim sued Vivid Entertainment for ownership of the tape. Kim dropped the suit and settled with Vivid for $5 million.

Ray J’s sex tape with Kardashian wasn’t the only controversial thing about the former couple. In 2013, Ray J released the song “I Hit It First”, a song that reportedly took aim at Kim and Kanye West. There were rumors that when Kim and Kanye got married, Ray J supposedly sent a check that totaled the profits from the sex tape as a wedding gift. However, Ray J has since denied these rumors.

Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., is an RnB singer and rapper. He is the brother of singer Brandy Norwood. In 2009, he starred in the reality show For the Love of Ray J and in 2010 he expanded his TV airtime with the show Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business.

Earlier this year, Ray J was charged with sexual battery, vandalism on a police car, battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest. He plead not guilty to the charges.
