While Ramona Singer is loving the single life, she still has some regrets and guilt tied up with her marriage to Mario.
Mario had the affair that brought the marriage crashing down, but Ramona Singer admits that their relationship was in trouble beforehand.
In her upcoming book, which is titled Life on the Ramona Coaster, Ramona Singer explains how, looking back, there were signs of doom for her marriage.
In an interview with People, Ramona Singer said, “The person Mario is right now standing in front of me is not the person he was three years ago.”
She continued to elaborate on the early signs of trouble, saying, “He’s always had sometimes this negative energy and I would push him to be more positive, but after a certain point how much can I push him? I couldn’t fix him.”
She added, “He’s not happy. He’s just not happy as a person.”
On top of that, Ramona Singer noted how he quickly lost enthusiasm for her Real Housewives of New York gig. He also showed virtually zero interest when she was getting her daughter ready to go to college.
Ramona Singer added, “I think [Mario] felt that we were no longer a team. It was my success as a celebrity reality star that bothered him.”
While she played a role in the implosion of their marriage, Ramona Singer insists that it was his affair that caused irreparable damage to their relationship.
