Quentin Tarantino has often been linked to his friend and creative collaborator Uma Thurman in a romantic way–at least inside the rumor mill–but recently he was seen having dinner with a former co-star, and the pair shared a romantic kiss that was caught on camera.

The actor/director was spotted hanging out with Vanessa Ferlito, who played Butterfly in his 2007 film Death Proof. The couple shared dinner in New York and looked pretty close as they kissed and embraced afterward.

Tarantino and Thurman have denied having a romantic relationship, and Thurman said in August that the two of them were laughing over recent rumors that they were an item.

“I was discussing [the rumors] with Mr Tarantino last night. He was angry at me for not calling him back because as he said, ‘According to the papers we are practically married!’ and he laughed hysterically. So our relationship is pretty much what it’s always been; people are just having fun with it,” she said.

The director is about to take over a ranch in Telluride, Colorado to film his newest movie, The Hateful Eight. Local fans are excited to see a big production come their way, as it’s the first since 1969’s True Grit.
