Divorce rumors about Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres may finally simmer down a bit, thanks to the couple’s new purchase: a swanky condo in Beverly Hills.

The celebrity couple has been the subject of rumor after rumor since they first got together. For the past few months, talks of the couple’s near-divorce have been circulating in gossip town, partially due to several leaks from a new book about DeGeneres.

Written by celebrity journalist Randy Jernigan, the book tells all about the private, behind-the-cam life and relationships of DeGeneres. According to excerpts from the book, the DeGeneres-De Rossi union has been rocky from the beginning. The author goes on to say that DeGeneres has had to deal with depression and mood swings in the past years, which is why she has been controlling towards de Rossi.

Last month, the couple was again rumored to be considering divorce after news came out that DeGeneres was cheating on de Rossi with another woman while de Rossi was in rehab for alcohol use in May.

The couple however, surprised rumor mongers with this news of a big real estate purchase in spite of all the divorce talks.

A source broke the news to Radar Online: “Ellen and Portia just purchased an entire floor of a luxury building in Beverly Hills.”  The source continues to describe the property: “It is very centrally located, right in the heart of everything that they do in Hollywood. They still have the land and the space they love in Santa Barbara, but this spot offers the convenience that they need.” Pursuitist.com says the couple bought the posh Beverly West building on the Wilshire Corridor for a reported $16 million.

This high-end property reportedly comes with several amazing views among other perks: a full service concierge, 24-hour staff, a fitness center and a pool.

It seems the couple is now more focused on money-making ventures and not divorce . “It’s a good sign that they are going to stay together,” the source told Radar. “Ellen and Portia have always loved working on a home project together!”

The couple also bought another home in Los Angeles earlier in January. According to real estate sources, they made improvements to the LA home and flipped it for $49.5 million, making a $10 million profit.
