Pia Zadora will have surgery on her ankle in the next week or 2 according to Spokeswoman Eileen Koch.
Right now, she is resting and recovering in intensive care at University Medical Center in Las Vegas after suffering a head injury and an ankle fracture after a golf cart accident.
Apparently, Pia Zadora was thrown from the golf cart after her 17-year-old son, Jordan, made a sharp left turn onto a street near their Las Vegas home. This happened at about 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 11th.
Zadora is a successful Las Vegas singer and had to cancel her upcoming appearances after the incident.
I will be performing live at Piero's Italian Cuisine on Friday's and Saturdays at 9! More info here: http://t.co/eQCJWVRPlY

You may know Pia Zadora from her Vegas acts, but she began her career on Broadway at the age of 10 in a production of Fiddler on the Roof in the 60s.
Her career began to spread its wings a little more when she acted alongside Stacy Keach and Orson Welles in the 1982 film version of the novel Butterfly.
Pia Zadora won (though some claim it was bought by her husband) a Golden Globe in 1982 for “Best New Star of the Year” for her role in the movie. The movie centered around a father/daughter incestuous relationship and spawned the creepy song “It’s Wrong For Me To Love You”.
Unfortunately, Pia Zadora also cleaned up at the Golden Raspberry Awards, winning Razzie awards for “Worst New Star” and “Worst Actress” of 1982.
Her acting career faltered, but she went on to become what she is today.
Good luck to Pia Zadora as she recovers from her injuries and may she heal quickly!
