Peaches Geldof was only 25 years old when she died of a heroin overdose in her country home back in April. Since her death, her husband and sons have not returned to the home. It sits frozen in time, with abandoned toys and a baby stroller visible in the yard.

Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof-Cohen was the daughter of megastar singer Bob Geldof and television presenter Paula Yates. Yates had herself died from a heroin overdose when Peaches was only 11.

Peaches once told Elle Magazine:

“I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it. I just blocked it out. I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on’. So we all went to school and tried to act as if nothing had happened. But it had happened. I didn’t grieve. I didn’t cry at her funeral. I couldn’t express anything because I was just numb to it all. I didn’t start grieving for my mother properly until I was maybe 16.”

When Peaches died, journalists discovered that her final Tweet was to an Instagram picture of herself as a baby with her mother. The caption read: “Me and my mum.”

The next day Peaches was gone, just like her mother.

Bob Geldof’s charity work has given hope to millions. But he has said that he blames himself for Peaches’ death.

Peaches’ husband Tom Cohen and their two sons Astala, age two, and Phaedra, age one, are reportedly staying with his Cohen’s mother in London. Reports say that he has not returned to the home since he found his wife dead from a heroin overdose.
