Anyone familiar with reality television in the last few years is sure to have at least heard of The Jersey Shore, a reality show that followed the lives of some friends from… well, the Jersey shoreline. The show was infamous for the insanity, debauchery, and general kookiness that the group of friends managed to get themselves into. The show ended in 2012, but many people, with the help of social media, still follow the lives of the stars as they continue their lives after the show. One of the cast, DJ Pauly D, for example, has over 4,000,000 followers on twitter. He is also still a popular topic for media, like TMZ, who were the first to break some life-changing news about the man; he’s a new father!

Pauly D revealed to TMZ that he has a daughter who is a few months old. He did not reveal the name of either the mother or the child, but he did say that the child’s mother is 25 and that she was born in Jersey. Allegedly, Pauly D and his baby momma met up while he was DJing in Las Vegas, where the two hooked up and, apparently, got a pretty big souvenir. The mother has filed court documents to formally establish Pauly D’s paternity, but the DJ revealed that he has already taken a test and is, indeed, the father.

The man seems pretty happy about his status as a daddy, however. He was quoted as saying to TMZ, “I’m proud I’m a father. I am excited to embark on this new part of my life.” He has yet to say anything about his new-found parent position on social media, but has re-tweeted a few congratulations from friends and family, as shown below.
