Oprah Winfrey shared a Valentine’s Day pic of herself with longtime beau Stedman, and showed off the hard work she’s put into dropping some weight in the process.
The media mogul announced last fall that she would be joining forces with Weight Watchers, and since then she’s reportedly lost 30 pounds. Not only did she join the organization to get trim, she also bought a share in the company and became a spokesperson for them, releasing an inspirational video late last year to help those who think they can’t succeed when it comes to weight loss.
“Inside every overweight woman is a woman she knows she can be. Many times you look in the mirror and you don’t even recognize your own self because you got lost, buried, in the weight that you carry. Nothing you’ve ever been through is wasted, so every time I tried and failed, every time I tried again, and every time I tried again, has brought me to this most powerful moment to say, ‘If not now, when?’ I feel that way, and I know millions of other people feel that way. Are you ready? Let’s do this together,” Winfrey says in the video.
In the photo she shared on Instagram, Oprah stands side-by-side with Stedman, dressed to kill in a red frock chosen specifically for the Valentine’s Day wedding of Liberty Ross and Jimmy Iovine.
While Oprah and Stedman have been together for nearly 30 years, she says she doesn’t believe they’ll ever get married. Once engaged, the couple never went through with a wedding, although she told Access Hollywood in 2013 that she’s thought about it.
“I thought about it again at Tina Turner’s wedding. Because Tina was like, ‘Oprah, you need to do this. You need to do it.’ And I was just thinking, ‘Well, okay, would things really be different?’And no, I don’t think so,” Oprah Winfrey said.
