Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder of The Vampire Diaries are reportedly married.

According to E! Online, the couple took their vows in Santa Monica on Sunday.

In the photos making the rounds, Nikki Reed, 26, is pictured wearing a long-sleeve, backless gown along with her groom, who is seen sporting a white suit.

Earlier that morning, Ian Somerhalder tweeted, “most beautiful morning ever…”

Nikki Reed and her new husband reportedly celebrated their union with close family and friends at an outdoor ceremony.

“Nikki couldn’t be more excited and thrilled to be marrying Ian,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They’re both so in love and so happy.”

The couple became engaged in January after dating for a mere six months. However, it wasn’t a total surprise for those who know them well.

“They were friends before, the groundwork had been laid before,” a source previously told Us. “They had always been attracted to each other, but always in another relationship.”

Ian Somerhalder, who made his first walk down the aisle with Nikki Reed, dated his TVD costar Nina Dobrev for three years until their split in May 2013. Nikki Reed was previously married to American Idol season 10 alum Paul McDonald until they divorced in March 2014.

A few weeks after the engagement news, Nikki Reed gushed to E! News of her fiancé, “He’s the best. He’s the most thoughtful human being on the planet.”
