Nicole Scherzinger may return to the X-Factor.
The British public grew fond of Scherzinger during her 2012 and 2013 judging stint on The X-Factor. Two of her contestants even made it to the finals in 2012. In 2014, Scherzinger left the series to devote her energy to completing and promoting her second solo album, Big Fat Liar.
Recently she returned to the X-Factor stage to sing “Run.” The performance had a few technical difficulties, but once again won her praise from the audience. Big Fat Liar made its UK debut in October. The album is set for an early 2015 release in the US. Besides promoting Big Fat Liar, Scherzinger will appear in Cats on the West End from December to February.
Her personal life seems just as active as her professional one. The “Run” singer got emotional yesterday while watching her long-time boyfriend, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, win the world championship in Abu Dhabi. Photographers captured Scherzinger excitedly kissing his helmet after the victory.
Hamilton was also congratulated by Prince Harry, who said, “Lewis thank you very, very much for not making the British public sweat…You are an absolute legend. Well done mate.”
Looks like Scherzinger will be very busy in 2015, and Simon Cowell hopes to make her busier.
Mirror reports that Cowell wants to leave the UK version of X-Factor to relaunch the American one. The US version of the singing competition got canceled in February due to low ratings. Mirror spoke to a source for more details on the possible reunion of Fox and Cowell. According to Mirror, “Staff have put together a proposal, which has been very well recieved.” The source also said that everyone wants to make a relaunching of X-Factor work.
If Cowell returns to X-Factor in the US, he needs a replacement for the UK version. Scherzinger is a top choice as a replacement. “Nicole is among his first choices. He is a huge fan and would have loved to have had her back on the UK show this series but it just wasn’t possible with Cheryl returning,” revealed Mirror.
X-Factor is rumored to relaunch in 2015.
