Nicole Richie and Joel Madden split rumors have been running rampant in recent days, and the moving trucks spotted outside their L.A. home are fueling those rumors.

According to a report from RadarOnline, it was just a few days ago when several moving trucks lined up outside the home the couple and their two children have long shared.

A source close to both Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tells Radar that “divorce is imminent.”

“Nicole has finally had enough of Joel and she is only interested in moving on now with her life. She told him to leave the house and Joel has complied,” the source adds. “They have been living as roommates for a very long time now. The passion fizzled out from their marriage years ago and people close to them know that they have both been doing their own thing for quite some time.”

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tied the knot back in 2010. They are the parents of Harlow and Sparrow Madden.

Nicole Richie is, of course, the daughter of singer Lionel Richie. She is a fashion designer and stars in VH1’s Candidly Nicole.

Joel Madden is the lead singer for the band Good Charlotte. He is also part of a musical collaboration with brother Benji Madden.

Both Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been spotted many times in recent weeks sans their wedding rings.

As with any divorce–if this is, in fact, one–it’s sad to see a marriage end–especially when there are children involved. Hopefully Nicole Richie and Joel Madden will work together so their kids can maintain normal, healthy lives.
