Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are more than just Disney Channel buds. It seems the two are pairing up for Lovato’s upcoming Neon Lights tour.
Jonas has been hired as the musical and creative director for her tour which kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 9 in Vancouver.
“I’m overseeing video content, wardrobe, lighting and staging,” said Jonas.
Jonas continued about his work with Lovato saying, “I’m extending into the musical side of things, which includes creating the arrangements for the songs. I’m building what Demi wanted, which is a show without stops and starts.”
Jonas started collaborating with Lovato right after the Jonas Brothers stopped touring and making music together.
While Jonas stopped working alongside his brothers, he did continue with his musical talents, writing with Lovato. Four of her albums will be featured in the Neon Lights Tour.
“I’ve been in rehearsals with the band for the last two weeks,” Jonas said, The biggest challenge has been just trying to rethink some of the music and see how we could compliment it with lights and video. I sat down with the band and said to them, ‘You need to step into this like it’s a new gig. None of these arrangements are going to sound like the originals, so you need to have an open mind.'”
