Fans of the Call of Duty franchise have been, understandably, focused on previews for the multiplayer gameplay in the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts. With that focus on multiplayer, it can be easy to forget that developer Infinity Ward helped popularize the shooter franchise partially through globe-threatening stories and over-the-top action-movie-like gameplay scenarios.
Today, Infinity Ward teased the single-player campaign for Call of Duty: Ghosts – and it isn’t just about military dogs. In fact, Ghosts‘ single-player experience appears to be every bit as outlandish as previous Call of Duty titles. The new trailer starts off with a tease for what appears to be shooter action in space.
From there it moves on to preview what appears to be skyscraper rappelling, fights on the back of a moving high-speed suspension train, and a battle in the fictional San Diego Tsunami baseball team’s stadium. Also, an aircraft carrier sequence similar to that seen in Battlefield 4 previews can be glimpsed. Of course, the dogs are there as well, but they’re no longer the highlight.
