Good news for Xbox 360 owners who use their device to watch Netflix - your app just received an update. Next time you sing in to Xbox LIVE and open up the app, it'll automatically install. Today's update brings some new in-video feature, social features (outside of the U.S.), and single sign on.

First up, users will now be able to easily navigate around their video with new skip forward/ skip back functionality. A Zoom function has also been added so you can blow up letterboxed videos to fullscreen.

Also, videos should now have deeper blacks and better colors with improved color contrast.

The next new feature that comes with the update is only available outside the U.S. (Facebook integration with Netflix in the U.S. still isn't a reality yet):

If you’re a member in Canada, Latin America, the UK or Ireland, we have also created more opportunities to share TV shows and movies in the connected world and for you to discover more great stuff to watch through your friends. Members that have connected with their Facebook friends on Netflix can now see what their friends have watched and rated on Netflix. In addition, we have made it easier to decide what you want to share with your Facebook friends when enjoying Netflix on your Xbox.

Lastly, single sign on with cloud profile allows for a streamlined way to use your netflix account while a guest on your friend's Xbox 360.

Xbox LIVE just got some new apps, including the long-awaited HBO GO app as well as the MLB.TV app.
