The Game of Thrones actress has now signed on to star in the new thriller, Patient Zero, which will be directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky. Ruzowitzky also directed Deadfall.

Patient Zero is about a global pandemic wherein the human race is infected with a form of rabies. The resulting species is incredibly violent toward other humans.

As a survivor, Natalie Dormer‘s character can speak the mutant language and must lead other humans in an effort to survive while searching for the cure.

The movie’s script was written by Mike Le, who also did the script for Dark Summer. It will be produced by Vincent Newman of Blind Horizon fame.

Dormer is best known for playing Margaery Tyrell in HBO’s Game of Thrones, which she will continue in the fifth season next year.

She also recently played Anne Boleyn on Showtime’s The Tudors.

Natalie Dormer has also sparked a new hair craze from her Cressida portrayal in the last two installments of The Hunger Games series. She was required to shave one side of her head, but some fans wishing to copy the style didn’t take it that far.

Dormer said, “I was actually quite surprised at Comic-Con, there’s a lot of lopsidedness going on. Girls are doing the lopsided thing, very tight… down one side so it almost looks like they’re shaved. That seems to be en vogue and I seem to be ahead of the curve.”

Of course, Cressida isn’t the main character, so will a Katniss Everdeen hairstyle revival take place as the movie nears its opening date?

“I don’t know if the Katniss Everdeen thing is catching on as well, but a lot of girls are wearing plaits to one side,” Natalie Dormer explained.

Good luck to Natalie Dormer as she navigates several projects at the same time!
