Mr. Rogers autotuned: If you’re one of the few unfortunate souls who has yet to hear “Garden of Your Mind”, an official collaboration between PBS Digital Studios and John D. Boswell, then you’re seriously missing out on one of the eeriest autotune songs currently available on the Internet. Using clips from several episodes of Fred Rogers’ iconic PBS series “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood”, Boswell (aka melodysheep) has crafted something truly remarkable and, believe it or not, weirdly mesmerizing.
Here’s what PBS had to same about the project:
When we discovered video mash-up artist John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep, on YouTube, we immediately wanted to work together. Turns out that he is a huge Mister Rogers Neighborhood fan, and was thrilled at the chance to pay tribute to one of our heroes. Both PBS and the Fred Rogers Company hope you like John’s celebration of Fred Rogers’ message.
As Josh predicted yesterday, it hasn’t taken very long for this sucker to go viral. After giving the song one, two, or twelve spins, check out some Twitter reactions to this loving tribute to a man who helped define and shape many a childhood in his day. You’ll find the aforementioned comments positioned beneath the embedded video. Enjoy!
