Monica Potter has landed a new comedy pilot at NBC even as she bids goodbye Thursday to her role as Kristina Braverman on Parenthood.
Monica Potter, 43, who had a hand in making die-hard Parenthood fans cry week after week, will portray a woman with three ex-husbands in the new untitled comedy. Her character, who is struggling to maintain her family life, returns to dating with unlikely consequences.
Sherry Bilsing-Graham of Friends and Ellen Kreamer will write and co-executive produce with Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman.
A Jimmy Fallon pilot was also picked up by the network. The comedy, Sharing, follows co-workers in a shared office space. Jeremy Bronson of The Mindy Project and Damian Lanigan will serve as writers and co-executive producers with Fallon and Rick Schwartz.
Monica Potter also is known for portraying Lori Colson on the ABC drama Boston Legal and as Sarah Krajicek-Hunter on the TNT series Trust Me.
