NFL fans are getting hyped up for tonight’s week 2 Monday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta.
As The Denver Post reminds us, this is the 21st consecutive year Denver has appeared on Monday Night Football, which happens to be the longest streak for any team. It will be the first year, however, that Peyton Manning appears as a Bronco, and for many, that ups the intrigue factor significantly, especially considering that he and the Broncos (a playoff team in 2011) are going up against another playoff team from last season. Interestingly, both teams lost their playoff battles to the teams that would go on to meet in the Super Bowl.
It’s only the second week of a new season, and both teams have every intent of getting to the Super Bowl themselves. It’s obviously way too early to tell if this is a potential preview of the big game, but each team has plenty of talent, and it should at least make for a good game tonight.

After tonight’s MNF game, 20 teams will sport 1-1 records, the most teams that split their first two games in league history, per Elias.
21 = Number of consecutive seasons the @Denver_Broncos have played on #MNF (since ’92), the longest streak in the NFL.
#Broncos injury report: G C. Kuper out, CB C.Harris questionable, WR D. Thomas probable, G M. Ramirez probable, G/C P Blake questionable.
