Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, was no doubt disappointed and humiliated when host Steve Harvey named her the winner of the Miss Universe Pageant just over a week ago. Harvey read the wrong name, as Miss Philippines was the winner. That meant Miss Colombia was soon thereafter stripped of the crown and named runner-up instead.

Now another pageant wants Miss Colombia to compete, and they are offering her registration-free entry if she signs on as a contestant.
The New York Post reports that officials from 2016 Las Vegas Model Search International offered Ariadna Gutierrez the opportunity to compete in their pageant, and even waived all registration requirements. That pageant takes place in June and features a $50,000 prize.
“When I saw the mix-up with the wrong winner crowned, my heart went out to both Miss Colombia as well as Miss Philippines,” James Gibson, the CEO of Las Vegas Model Search said.
“My hope is that somehow something positive comes out of this mind-boggling blunder,” he added.
Gibson said watching Sunday’s broadcast of the Miss Universe pageant was “one of the worst moments on live TV I’ve ever seen.”
No word has yet emerged as to whether or not Miss Colombia will accept this offer. She is presently in Miami, celebrating the holidays with her family.

Do you think Miss Colombia will accept this offer from Las Vegas Model Search International, and compete in their pageant in June? Or did the mixup on behalf of Steve Harvey at the Miss Universe Pageant sour Ariadna Gutierrez on the notion of competing in beauty pageants?
