  • Miranda Lambert has finally broken her silence about her divorce from Blake Shelton, and she has nothing but kind things to say about her ex-husband. She even called the Voice coach and country music star an “amazing man.”

In an upcoming Cosmopolitan cover story, Lambert speaks for the first time about the painful divorce.

“I had a great relationship with an amazing man,” she says, “so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted.”

Miranda Lambert admits this new single life isn’t always easy, but she’s determined to forge ahead and make a good life for herself.

“Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, ‘Man, this sucks right now,’” she says.

Music is Miranda Lambert’s priority right now, and her fans are grateful for that.

“I feel the sexiest when I’m in my element, which is playing music,” she says. “It doesn’t really matter what I’m wearing necessarily or where I’m at, just on stage with my band playing music is sort of where I feel like I belong and that makes me feel sexy.”

Miranda Lambert isn’t ready to jump on the dating bandwagon just yet and she in no way wants to think about getting married again. Blake Shelton, on the other hand, has already moved on with fellow Voice coach, Gwen Stefani.

Neither Blake Shelton nor Miranda Lambert has spoken publicly as to the actual reason behind their divorce. Several publications have speculated that Blake wanted children and Miranda wasn’t ready, but no one has yet confirmed those claims.
