On Friday night, Miley Cyrus took to the Madison Square Garden stage to perform her two current big hits,”Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop.” Cyrus was the closing act at the 2013 Z100 Jingle Ball concert. Another controversial lady showed support for Cyrus by introducing her. That woman was Lilo herself, Lindsay Lohan.
Cyrus kept her performance tame in the her Miley-sort-of-way. She twerked on Christmas themed dressed background dancers. Their costumes included a bad Santa, a Christmas tree and some reindeer. Cyrus also wore Christmas themed ensembles. Her outfits resembled a bad Santa and a Christmas ornament.
Some other artist that performed that night were Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Enrique Iglesias, Macklemore and Robin Thicke. Thicke even called attention to his memorable and controversial performance with Cyrus by saying he wondered who she’d twerk on tonight.
Yesterday Cyrus took to Twitter to get people talking about her again. This time it was for a good cause. She flashed her boobs to show support for the Free the Nipple film and campaign. The documentary questions and compares the U.S film market’s censorship of the female body compared to its censorship of violence. Free the Nipple is currently seeking less traditional methods to expand their message to a broader audience.
Merry Christmas ❤️❤️ THANK YOU NY for being one of the few states to @freethenipple pic.twitter.com/ouXhlBrXVW

Cyrus censors her Twitter picture by adding holiday related doodles (image effects). This allows her to show support without being crude and causing more of a public outcry.
To further her message, she later tweeted “It’s not about getting your titties out. It’s about equality.”
It’s not about getting your titties out. It’s about equality. ❤️

In this case, Cyrus used her constant media attention to promote something greater than her love of twerking. Kudos, Cyrus, Kudos.
