After having an allergic reaction to antibiotics, Miley Cyrus was hospitalized and had to cancel a tour stop she was scheduled to make in Kansas City, Missouri.

Although fans were hopeful that Miley would get better quickly and get back on track with the tour, she is still in the hospital and recently announced that she would have to postpone her Bangerz tour until August.

An official statement was released by her rep and said,

“Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin, which she’s now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to. This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.”

The statement didn’t stop the rumors from swirling with people blaming her hospitalization on everything from drugs to eating disorders. Miley defended herself on Twitter and kept her fans updated on her condition.

Miley even had to spend Easter and 4/20 in the hospital. She complained on Twitter that she was lying in bed instead of getting high.

It is not clear how long Miley will have to stay in the hospital, but it could be several days before she is released. Although she had to postpone her tour and cannot perform on stage, she can still entertain her fans on Twitter.

Do you think Miley was really hospitalized for an allergic reaction?
