An explosion at a Miami Beach Chevron gas station occurred yesterday, after a driver rammed into a gas pump.

The Chevron, located at 71st Street and Abbott Avenue, will likely be closed for a time, after its pump station became engulfed in a fireball. According to witnesses an impatient customer pulled in front of a yellow Hummer to cut in line. She apparently lost control of her Jeep, and slammed into the gas pump, causing the explosion. The incident was caught on surveillance cameras.

Gas station employees reacted quickly, and there were no reported injuries. There hasn’t been any word on any charges being filed.

The incident in Miami comes after recent reports of more mysterious types of explosions occurring in Minnesota.
