Meghan Trainor has had to postpone a couple of gigs after it was discovered that she was suffering a hemorrhage on her vocal cords.
Trainer, 21, announced Thursday night via Instagram that doctors diagnosed a hemorrhage on her vocal cords, saying that she will need to rest her voice to allow healing. The diagnosis forced the singer to postpone two gigs of her MTrain Tour.
“I have never missed a tour date before so this is killing me,” she told fans on Instagram. “I love you all very much and want to get healed quickly so I can show you this amazing tour we’ve been working on.”
Meghan apologized to fans for canceling the gigs and letting fans down.
Meghan Trainor also posted a video to Instagram from New York where she expressed her thoughts via text on her phone screen.
The All About That Bass singer also posted a video to Instagram from New York City, where she is getting a doctor’s second opinion, sharing her distress via text on her phone screen.
“So frustrated, but cant make any noise,” she captioned the pic.
I'm in New York now seeing another doctor. So frustrated but cant make any noise. At least I got my brother @ryan.trainor to make me smile. And my fans supporting me thank you for your kind words #loveyoumegatronz "We are going to see another doctor in New York" "I want to cry but I can't cuz it will hurt more" "I hate everything right now" "Ryan you have a booger in your nose" "I'm sorry Megatronz I will make it up to you I promise"
These singers need to give those powerful voices a rest. Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger and Sam Smith have also had issues with their vocal cords this year.
On Friday, Meghan thanked her “Megatronz” for “sending so much love” via Twitter.
