Mark-Paul Gosselaar starred in Saved by the Bell, and later in NYPD Blue. Until this past fall, the actor played the role of Peter Bash in the TNT hit Franklin & Bash. While a guest on the Today show on Monday, Al Roker brought up something interesting about a former costar. Saved by the Bell actress Tiffani Amber Thiessen has now dropped ‘Amber’ from her name. Roker asked Gosselaar if he has ever considered dropping ‘Paul’ from his. That’s when fans learned that Paul isn’t the actor’s middle name.
“Would you drop the ‘Paul’?” Roker asked.
“Not likely,” said Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
“Mark-Paul is hyphenated; it’s a first name,” he added. “I do have a middle name; I could throw that in as well, again, if America doesn’t mind the idea.”
So what is Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s middle name?
Harry.

He thinks if he adds ‘Harry’ to his stage name it might sound rather distinguished.
“Maybe I’ll just go by Harry. Or just M.P,” he joked.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar returns to TV once again this fall. He is set to star in a new NBC comedy called People Are Talking.
In addition to Mark-Paul Gosselaar, People Are Talking will also star Tone Bell and Bresha Webb.
Will you be tuning in to see Mark-Paul Gosselaar make his first post-Frankin & Bash TV appearance? Should he add his middle name ‘Harry’ to his professional name?
