Two photos posted on Instagram by singing sensation Mariah Carey are showing that the diva is getting back to work to avoid the recent storm of rumors surrounding her marriage. The photos Carey posted show her rehearsing for her upcoming tour The Elusive Chanteuse Show, which kicks off on October 4 in Tokyo, Japan.
Carey posted the photos on Saturday, on her Instagram account, which has 1.83 million followers. The first photo was captioned, “Last night’s rehearsal for #TheElusiveChanteuseShow,” and showed her standing by a grand piano in a black sleeveless mini-dress.
In the second photo, she was joined by one of her five Jack Russell terriers, Jill E. Beans, who looked as if she was barking along with the music. Mariah hid her eyes with sunglasses but was smiling in the photo.
“I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans. I can’t stop writing songs so don’t be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I just wrote the night before the show in your city!” Carey said in a statement about the tour. The Elusive Chanteuse Show is staged to support Carey’s latest album, Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse. The album debuted at No. 3 with 58,000 units sold after it was released on May 27 of this year.

The Elusive Chanteuse Show will see Carey touring all throughout Asia in October, which will keep her busy as rumors about her divorce with America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon are reaching their peak. E! recently reported that “Mariah has started the divorce process.” Cannon, however, is reportedly denying on Twitter that he ever hinted that the marriage was troubled before.
Claims that he said there was “trouble in paradise” when asked about the marriage last month were untrue, he said. “’Trouble in Paradise’ is the dumbest phrase I’ve ever heard! I would never say that s***,” he recently tweeted.
