Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams are calling it quits after six years of matrimony.

Mandy Moore, 30, and Ryan Adams, 40, were married in a secret ceremony in Savannah, Georgia just four weeks after announcing their engagement in 2009. They have no children.

Her rep said in a statement, "Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage. It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

Just last March, Mandy Moore celebrated their five year anniversary with Ryan Adams and "the greatest friends and family".

Since their marriage in 2009, Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have been notoriously, and zealously, private about their life together.

The two of them collaborated on Adams' 2014 self-titled album and he was happy to talk about that and anything else in his career, but don't ask him about his marriage.

After already making his position on talking about Mandy Moore clear, Adams hung up during an interview with a Melbourne radio station in September last year.

He said, “Okay, so I just hung up because I was on the radio getting asked about my wife,” he explained afterwards in an interview with BuzzFeed.

“I was really nice about it the first time, and I’m sorry I won’t repeat myself. The deal is this: I’m a private person and I’ll be a gentleman and say I’m not talking about my marriage ever. I’ll never talk about it. Ever.”

What do you think about Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams divorcing?
