A 42-year-old contractor working on the Jupiter, FL home of “Grease” star Olivia Newton-John has died of an apparent suicide inside the property. Newton-John and her entrepreneur husband John Easterling hired contractors to work on their Jupiter Inlet Colony house while they were out of town.

The contractor, whose name has not yet been released, was not related to the 64-year-old actress-singer or her husband. The Jupiter Police Department spokesman, Sgt. Scott Pascarella, said that a name will not be given to the media until after the Tuesday morning autopsy. Although it appears that the man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, police are still treating it as any other death investigation.

Police were called to the home on Lighthouse Drive around 12:15 Monday afternoon.

GossipExtra divulged earlier this month that a sale is pending for Rosie O’Donnell to purchase the 7,429 sq. ft. home for $5.6 million; the “Let’s Get Physical” singer and husband bought the .35 acre property last May for an estimated $1.5 million less than they will be selling it for if the deal goes through.
