Madonna proves that she is still making significant contributions to music with “MDNA.” Despite being 53 the star has received rave reviews for her recent contribution to dance lovers and club girls across the globe.

Part of MDNA’s success can be attributed to Benny Benassi who enhanced the albums energy by infusing sharp rhythms and dance sounds. Last week we reported that Benassi was impressed with Madonna’s commitment to the album, “Though she’s the mastermind behind an entertainment business empire, she tries everything first hand, she tests every single sound.”

She wanted dance sounds, sharp rythmes that would fit the audience of a pop star. After a while we were in the studio with her in London, for an entire week, working 10 hours a day, to produce the final versions of those two tracks. We were amazed by her dedication.

One writer for the American Press, Mesfin Fekadu, reviewed the album, ” The newest release, “MDNA” — her first apart from her longtime label, Warner Bros. — is full of upbeat dance jams and simmering slow grooves, and it delivers for the most part. True, it’s not nearly as top-notch as past records from the pop icon; the songs on “MDNA,” despite some risqué language, are much safer and tread familiar ground. Still, there are some standouts.

While the star may not be as good as she once was, the star is still breaking records. The first single from the album gave MDNA a strong start. Give Me All Your Luvin’” (featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.) was released on February 3, 2012. The single peaked at 10 on the Hot 100 Billboard making Madonna the female artist with the most top 10 hits on the chart; she has 41 No. 1 dance hits. The second single Girl Gone Wild was released digitally on March 2, 2012.

Fekadu noted that MDNA carried several tracks that indicate the pop icon is still bitter about her divorce with Guy Ritchie: “Love Spent,” with its Bollywood beat … finds Madonna calling out a lover with lyrics like: “You had all of me, you wanted more, would you have married me if I were poor? … Bitter much? However, Fekadu thought this was her best song while citing that, “Gang Bang” was a catastrophe, “I’m Addicted” sounded overproduced, and “I’m a Sinner” was just okay.

Mark Beech reviewed the album for Bloomberg and also felt that MDNA was short of wonderful, “MDNA” tries hard, often too hard, and is soaked in slick production. After 30 years in the business, Madonna Louise Ciccone should know she doesn’t need the lavish studio effects of newer stars such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears or Rihanna.”

In Madonna’s defense, many artists are collaborating with top artists to reach wider audiences these days.
