  • The twins are officially out of Fuller House and Aunt Becky has all the details.

Just a few months ago, fans of the hit ‘80s sitcom Full House were greeted by exciting news of a sequel entitled, Fuller House, which will star the original cast members including Bob Saget, John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, and Lori Loughlin.

The only noticeable difference is the absence of the Olsen twins, who both played little Michelle Tanner on the show.

In May, executive producer Robert L. Boyett announced that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are not participating in the sequel as they were busy running their business. In July, however, a Netflix executive dropped hints that the twins might be able to join after all. Lori Loughlin finally confirmed in an interview with Huffington Post that the show will not star the Olsen twins as it had already finished shooting the episodes.

Speculations that an Olsen Twins cameo will take place instead, but both John Stamos and Lori Loughlin were quick to shut them down. Last month John Stamos appeared on Andy Cohen’s talk show, Watch What Happens Live and stated that a cameo from the twins was improbable as “in a different phase in their life,” possibly referring to their multi-million dollar fashion empire.

Lori Loughlin echoed Stamos’ sentiments as she also told HuffPost that viewers should not get their hopes up for a cameo of the twins. “No, I don’t think they’re going to make a cameo. They didn’t this season.” For the rest of the interview, Lori Loughlin shared her experience shooting Fuller House with Stamos and her other former cast mates, and she says it felt like “old times.”

“After you got over the initial surreal experience of like, ‘Wow, we’re here again,’ we sort of fell back into line exactly as we were,” said Lori Loughlin of the first time they started filming.

“And we had a lot of laughs and a lot of good times and it was a lot like picking up right where we left off.”
