It’s bound to happen to every performer at least one time in their career. When touring from city to city around the country, it’s almost inevitable – exhaustion. Now it’s happened to country music legend Loretta Lynn. The singer and songwriter has made an announcement to cancel shows in Iowa due to exhaustion.

The tour was designed to commemorate Lynn’s 50 years in music, as a form of appreciation to all of her fans for the many years of success. However, the consistent travels may be a bit much for the 81-year-old singer.

Lynn’s representative released a brief statement on the singer’s website in regards to her current condition. “Lynn started feeling poorly midway through her three week tour. Loretta is a pro and wants to give her fans the best show possible. She felt she physically was unable to do that.”

The statement also cited that Lynn recently wrapped up a Canadian tour, and she will be rescheduling the canceled Iowa shows.

Just last year, the “Coal Miner’s Daughter” singer canceled two shows. However, her medical condition was totally different from this particular scenario, as she underwent extensive physical therapy after having a full knew replacement surgery. Back in 2011, Lynn also suffered medical complications with pneumonia.

Lynn is set to resume her tour in two weeks. Her next concert date is Nov. 14 in North Tonawanda, N.Y.
