Although many of us will never quite recover from the death of Dirty Dancing's Patrick Swayze, his widow, Lisa Niemi, has found love again and is engaged.

Niemi, 57, received a ring and a promise on Christmas Eve from fiancé Albert DePrisco, reports People. DePrisco, 58, is a jeweler.

One can only suppose the ring is amazing!

According to People, the engaged couple met through mutual friends at a birthday party for Niemi. They have been dating for a year and a half.

Niemi lost her husband and dance partner, Patrick Swayze, to pancreatic cancer in September 2009.

Here they are dancing at the World Music Awards in 1994:

In 2010, she told People she was open to the idea of remarrying: "I would love companionship love. Absolutely. I hope I'm not one of these women who never want to have another relationship," she said. "But who knows, that's another bridge I'll cross when I come to it. I may get there and go, I don't know. But I like to think that I can."

Swayze and Niemi seemed to have been great partners not only on the dance floor, but in life. They were married for 34 years!

Here's what Swayze had to say about their relationship:

We can only wish Lisa every happiness for the future!
