  • Fans of the hit series “Friends” are going to have to bury the hatchet on a reunion movie. According to an interview with CNN, Lisa Kudrow, who portrayed Phoebe Buffay in the NBC sitcom, reiterated what NBC and the creators of the show have already said, “It’s really not happening.”

The rumor mill started in mid-April on social media, with some saying there was talk of a reunion special for Thanksgiving 2014, and that NBC had even ordered a new season of the show. Co-creator Marta Kauffman quashed all those rumors, telling E!, “I’m going to clear this up—it’s not happening!”

Since the ending of “Friends” Kudrow has continued to play some “delusional” characters. First in 2005 as Valerie Cherish, a former sitcom star trying to get back to the top with a camera crew following her around, in the HBO series “The Comeback.” The series only lasted one season, but Entertainment Weekly recently included the show in it’s list of “100 All-Time Greatest TV Shows.” Currently, Kudrow stars in the Showtime series “Web Therapy,” as Fiona Wallice, a therapist who has taken a new approach, making sessions three minutes via web cam, instead of 50 minutes in an office. The show began as a web series until Showtime picked it up. The third season premieres Tuesday, July 23 at 11 p.m.

Kudrow has also been a producer of the American version of the documentary series “Who Do You Think You Are?” Each episode features a different celebrity researching their family trees. The show originally aired on NBC, but was picked up by TLC. The fourth season premiere is also Tuesday, July 23, at 9 p.m.

The actress tweeted about the premieres of both shows on Tuesday.
