Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus broke up nearly a year ago, but that doesn’t mean he’s completely over her.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the 24-year-old actor was overheard doting on his ex-fiancée while having dinner with friends at Puny in Portofino, Italy.

Hemsworth reportedly said that he and the former Disney star would “always be best friends.” He even spoke about their level of attraction explaining that they had “an instantaneous and powerful connection.”

A source reportedly shared details about Hemsworth’s dinner discussion about Cyrus.

“Liam kept raving about how amazing she was, how much they clicked and understood everything about each other. He also said they bought a lot of furniture but he had to leave it behind when they broke up and he got his new place, which was furnished,” the source revealed.

The famed Hunger Games star met the 21-year-old singer while they were filming the 2010 romantic drama film, The Last Song. Their on-again, off-again relationship lasted three years and led to an engagement. Hemsworth proposed to the “Wrecking Ball” singer in 2012, but unfortunately, they didn’t make it down the aisle. In September of 2013, they officially called it quits.

Although the media usually portrays Hemsworth as the only one with a broken heart, Cyrus revealed that the feeling was mutual. During an interview with Elle magazine, the former Hannah Montana star confessed that she initially thought she wouldn’t survive without Hemsworth.

“When I went through a really intense breakup — you know, I was engaged — and when I was with him [Hemsworth] or when I was on Disney, the thing that gave me the most anxiety was not knowing what to do with myself when Disney wasn’t there to carry me anymore or if I didn’t have him,” Cyrus said.

However, Cyrus admitted that even though she suffered a loss, time has healed her broken heart.

“And now I’m free of both of those things, and I’m fine. Like, I lay in bed at night by myself and I’m totally okay, and that’s so much stronger than the person three years ago, who would have thought they would have died if they didn’t have a boyfriend,” Cyrus said.
