LeAnn Rimes has had more than one Twitter feud, but it’s usually with her husband’s ex, reality star Brandi Glanville, or one of Glanville’s supporters. Recently, however, the country star found herself in the middle of a bitter disagreement with her own ex, Dean Sheremet, over a Twitter remark.
The trouble began when Rimes received a tweet that read, “Remember the good old days when @leannrimes was just a chubby country bumpkin married to a gay dude?”
Rimes let it roll off her back with a laugh, but Sheremet saw it and became upset that Rimes didn’t stand up for him.
Laugh away-Who's the bully now?

That tweet prompted quite a few from Sheremet’s supporters, who agreed that Rimes was a bully:
@Deansheremet she's always been the bully dean, she's just not as good at hiding it these days. right @leannrimes?

@Deansheremet @BluEyedMami dayum, dean. You should be canonized a saint for living with this trick as long as you did. @LoveBeeGees

Sheremet says he doesn’t want to get into a big Twitter feud with his ex, but the fact that she laughed off a joke at his expense–and at the expense of the gay community–is what upsets him.
“I don’t do Twitter wars, but I do hate ignorance. Being gay isn’t offensive, not standing up for the truth is,” he said.
Rimes took to the micro-blogging site to clarify that her ex husband is straight, and that she meant no offense, but the damage had been done.
“No, [Dean’s] not gay and there’s nothing wrong [with] it,” she tweeted. “I have always & will always support the community.”
Sheremet commented on the incident to Us Weekly, saying, “What I was offended by was someone using the term gay as a slur and her not defending it. I don’t care about me. I’ve learned not to take things personally. This was out of respect to my many gay friends and fans.”
