Netflix made it official via Twitter, too, letting fans know that Alexis Bledel will return for what they are calling the show’s “final season.”

Entertainment Tonight confirms that in addition to Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, the Gilmore Girls revival will include original cast members Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), and Sean Gunn (Kirk). There has been no word on whether Melissa McCarthy will return in her role as Sookie St. James, but fans are definitely hoping she will.
The nine-year reunion of the Gilmore Girls cast will consist of four 90-minute episodes that will depict spring, summer, fall, and winter in one calendar year.
