Lamar Odom has been hospitalized since October when he accidentally overdosed on drugs at a Nevada brothel. Suffering traumatic brain damage, recent repots say he is making little progress and often can’t even remember his own name.

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, he’s a long way from the Lamar Odom people knew before the overdose.
“He’s not doing great,” a source tells the publication. “His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people’s names–sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss.”
Fortunately for Lamar Odom, he has the full support of the entire Keeping Up With the Kardashians family.
“They all pop in to see him [at Ceders-Sinai Medical Center], including Khloe,” the source says.
Just last month, Khloe Kardashian was asked if Lamar Odom understands everything that happened, and if he understands the sacrifice she has made staying by his side throughout so much of his ordeal.
“I don’t know if he can right now,” Khloe said. “Like, I don’t know if he fully understands everything, but I know he is grateful…and I’m not doing it for validation. I’m not doing it to get praise back.”
Indeed Khloe Kardashian has done right by Lamar Odom. In addition to staying by his side through many questionable days and nights, she also withdrew her divorce petition from the court system. That doesn’t mean she and Lamar are getting back together, but simply that she felt it wasn’t the time to add a divorce to his set of circumstances.
Khloe Kardashian also admits Lamar Odom requires a lot of care and a lot of rehab. She insists he’s making progress, but doesn’t seem disillusioned in the least.

“He’s doing better every day, for sure, which is a blessing, but it’s going to be a long road and he has to walk that road,” she said recently. “It’s going to be a long time.”
How concerning do you suppose it is for Lamar Odom’s doctors that the former NBA player often can’t remember his own name. Do you think that’s typical or is it a sign of more permanent brain damage?
