Kylie Jenner was attending the grand opening of the Sugar Factory in Hollywood, California on Wednesday, November 13 when she took part in an interview with Us Weekly, admitting that she can’t recall a time when she and her family were not famous.

Kylie, and the rest of her family, started filming the hit reality television show, “Keeping up with the Kardashians”, when she was only nine years old in 2007. Since then, living in the spotlight has been the norm for her.

“I don’t remember how it was before I was famous because I was nine when this all started,” the 16-year-old said. “So it’s kind of like I grew up into it. It’s kind of like I don’t know any different.”

As she has gotten older, Kylie has pursued several business ventures with her older sister, Kendall Jenner. They are currently working on a new line for the popular clothing store, Pac Sun.

“We’re still working on our Pac Sun line. We have a jewelry line at Nordstrom and we’re coming out with a book that we’re really excited about,” Kylie told Us. “I would love to in the future maybe create my own line and branch away from Kendall and continue Pac Sun.”

Aside from their clothing and jewelry lines, Kylie and Kendall have both started successful careers in the modeling industry. With the help of their supportive mother and father, Bruce and Kris Jenner, the girls have had more opportunities for success as teenagers than most people ever have in their lifetimes.

The sisters admit that growing up in the spotlight is not always easy. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, both girls talked about what it is like to be a famous teenager, and how different their teenage lives have been compared to their older sisters, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian.

“They got to live their teen years in a very different way than we did,” Kendall said while promoting their Pac Sun line. “They lived it normally and then once they were already grown up, they went through what we’re now going through. They even say to us: ‘If I was in your position, I would not be able to handle it.”

Kylie says to cope with the fame, she tries to focus on the good things that have come from it. “You just have to come back and realize all of the great things that have come out of it. All of the good you can do with having the spotlight on you and just having your family around you,” she says.
