Kristen Bell showed compassion for a little six-year-old girl with cancer this past week, as she left a message on her phone in her Anna persona from the hit movie Frozen.
It was about a month ago that little Avery Huffman was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Kristen Bell greeted the little girl by name in the sweet phone message, speaking in Anna’s voice instead of her own.
“I hope you’re having a great day and playing a lot with Hoppy Jumpy! I love bunnies!” she said.
“I think you’ll make a great princess! Well, I got to go build a snowman with my friend Olaf now!” she added.

During the message, Kristen Bell as Anna also told Avery that her sister, Elsa, has named the little girl an honorary queen.
What an amazing sense of compassion Bell has shown for someone she doesn’t even know. And what an amazing warmth Avery Huffman–and her family, too–must have felt when she listened to her voicemail. Kristen Bell sets a fine example for other Hollywood celebrities in using her talents for something other than her own fame and fortune.
Kristen Bell is married to Parenthood actor Dax Shepard (Crosby Braverman). The two have a son and a daughter, Lincoln and Delta. One day they will likely learn of the immense capacity of their mom’s heart and realize she is one very special human being.
